Description

The Tracker Trauma Kit is named such as it is designed for use when in the high country, deep in the wilderness, or anywhere off-grid where one moves by foot, only able to take what they can carry. In the 19th century, Mountain Men were trappers, primarily working in the Rocky Mountain region of the Western United States. Trapping took them far away from camp each day as they worked up and down the rivers and trails checking traps. Likewise, the Tracker Trauma Kit is designed for hunters, backpackers, fishermen, mountain bikers, and anyone else who finds themselves away from civilization and on a trail!

This kit is designed around the idea of what is the minimum number of items one can or should carry on the trail in order to reduce weight and mass while still ensuring you have the tools you need to get back to basecamp and find medical help in the case of an emergency.

Fully assembled the Tracker Trauma Kit weighs in at 12.3oz.

The kit comes assembled inside of the Ready Up Gear “Kite” molle pouch. This EDC bag is rugged but small. The pouch utilizes the SBS zipper as an industry standard for reliability and durability. SBS zippers have been in the market for over 30 years and are used widely by military and law enforcement in 80+ countries. The front of the pouch features a velcro patch receiver and comes with a first aid identifying patch to help others identify the contents. The pouch can be worn on the belt, attached to a vest or pack with compatible molle straps, or stuffed into a bag.

It includes the SWAT-T tourniquet which is the most versatile tourniquet on the market. Tested and proven as a tourniquet it can also be used for splinting, as a pressure wrap or bandage, or a chest seal in a pinch.

The Tracker includes basic safety gear including a pair of blue nitrile gloves and a set of compact trauma shears.

In addition, the Tracker includes Flat-Folded duct tape which of course comes in handy in a number of situations. Also included is a mylar rescue blanket which can be a critical tool in treating hypothermia and has a number of other potential survival uses.

The Tracker includes z-folded Chitogauze, which is a hemostatic gauze for wound packing and bleeding control. In addition to the Chitogauze, the kit includes 4 yards of compressed z-folded standard gauze.

A few other important things about this kit. There is room in the pouch for you to customize the kit by adding a few things that might make more sense depending on your activity.

Mountain Bikers might have different needs for example than hunters. We’ve included the core trauma essentials but have left room for small items you feel you should add.

If your adventure includes friends, family, or buddies, which is probably wise, we strongly recommend getting a tracker kit for each individual. We know how people often get separated and the kit isn’t designed to treat more than one injured person.

  2. Gary (verified owner)

Great kit. Gave it to my daughter to keep in her car. The Quik Clot and east to use tourniquet could save a life in a car accident

  3. Mark (verified owner)

I have a private gun range on my land. Feel better having this on hand should something unexpected happen. Potential life saver if ever needed. Great kit.

  4. Ron (verified owner)

Not worth the money. Very few items for $72.00

Sorry you feel that way Ron. It isn’t about the number of items and even if it were I assume you knew what was in the kit before you ordered it. Remember we have a 60-day return/refund policy. Contact us and get your money back. This particular kit comes with a tourniquet and hemostatic-impregnated gauze which are relatively expensive components. Let us know how else we can be of service in the future.
