A fall risk is a very common issue to watchout for when dealing with an injury. If the person has a head injury, is suffering from blood loss, or has any other problem that limit O2 intake, there's a substantial risk of the casualty falling over and becoming more injured.
By helping the casualty to get as low to the ground as possible, and monitoring them closely, we can prevent additional injures that could complicate things further for the victim.
