Prevent Death. KEEP THEM WARM!

After we've finished taking care of all wounds and are sure that the bleeding is controlled and EMS is enroute, we need to make sure that we are keeping the casualty as warm as possible.

Blood is responsible for a great many things in our bodies. One of those things is temperature regulation. If the casualty has low blood levels because of an injury, they won't be able to maintain their temp on their own.

We can help them with a Mylar blanket, sleeping bags, starting a fire, Moving the victim's into the cab of a truck with heater on full blast, or wherever else it might help to raise the victim's core temperature.
