The SWAT-Tourniquet allows a more rapid means to control extremity bleeding and allows application higher into the groin and axilla than other tourniquets. Its ease of application is one of its greatest benefits; individuals can effectively apply it in seconds with little to no prior training. At a third of the cost and weight of other combat used tourniquets, this tourniquet should find its way forward with every tactical operator.
The SWAT-T Orange model is made with a bright safety orange color for easy identification and application. Instructions for use are printed on the tourniquet along with the trademark pressure application measure showing just how much pressure to apply to reach occlusion. Stretch the band until the diamond appears and there will be enough pressure to stop or slow severe bleeding.
The SWAT-T was developed by a former Operator/Medic with 14 years experience in Operational Medicine -former USAF Pararescue Journeyman (Para-Jumper or PJ)), Contractor DoJ/FBI SWAT Operations, National Registry Paramedic, and Emergency Medicine Physician. Minimum recommended operating temp. -65 Degree F (-53 Degree C) Maximum recommended operating temp. 180 Degree F (82 Degree C) Preferred long-term storage conditions cool and dry environment.

This is a great back up to my 2 cat7’s. Can be used for multiple treatments. I think every kit should have these as they take up so little space.

We like having a swat-t tourniquet as a back up for the cat tourniquet. The swat-t tourniquet can also be use as a multipurpose elastic band. Compact size makes it easy to carry or put in pocket if needed.

I like having the swat-t tourniquet as a backup for the cat tourniquets. The swat-t tourniquet has the ability for multipurpose uses such as an ace type of elastic wrap. It is compact enough to fit nicely in the trauma kit.

I have a SWAT-T in every kit. Either as another compression bandage, or a tourniquet for a very small child where a CAT or SOFT is too large where not just relying on direct pressure to stop arterial bleeding. There was a short wait due to backorder, but the SWAT-Ts showed up no problems. And when I emailed asking about the lead time, a fast response that was clear and answered my question.
